Why Agronomy?

At an early age, I developed an interest in the crops we grew on our farm, and was very interested on how to improve yields, as well as what factors contributed to plant growth. The farm gave me opportunities to be around agronomists, and scout fields with them, and this helped develop my interest in agronomy. Through my agronomy minor, I will be able to deepen my understanding in terms of crop production and protection, plant breeding, forage management, nutrient management, and soil conservation and fertility.
